How to Send First-Class Mail?
First class mail is one of the most popular and cost effective mailing solutions in America. This service allows individuals and businesses to send letters, postcards and lightweight parcels to any destination within the United States. For a flat rate of just one dollar, this is the fastest option for sending anything from small orders of merchandise to marketing materials.
The only catch is that there are a few restrictions that must be followed for your mail to be considered First Class. This includes a weight limit (3.5 ounces or less), dimensions and insurance options. In order to qualify for this service, your address list must be NCOA and CASS updated and sorted into presort order. This is easily done by AD-Vantage Marketing using our special software and is a prerequisite for the lower postage rates available with this service.
You also have the option to add a variety of add-ons and extras to your mail including tracking, return receipt, signature confirmation and restricted delivery. These additional services come at a small extra cost, but will allow you to reach addresses that may have been rejected as undeliverable by standard mailings.
Depending on the size of your package, you can either drop it off at a USPS branch or Parcel Postbox. You can also schedule a free UPS or FedEx pick up, visit an Approved Postal Provider or use a shipping app like Stamps.com or Intrade. Regardless of the method you choose, it is important to make sure your mail has correct postage and proper packaging in order to get the best results from your delivery.
